Rochester Public School Superintendent Michael Munoz was a guest Thursday morning on Rochester's Good Morning with Rich and K.D. to talk about a variety of school related issues.

An ongoing question is what's the state legislature going to do?  Munoz told listeners the budget for next year is already set, based on a projected 2-percent increase.  So far though it looks like the numbers debated at the State Capitol are around a 1.25 or 1.5 percent increase between the House and Senate.

If it were the 1.5, about 500-thousand dollars would have to be shaved from next year's budget.  Superintendent Munoz talked about what may have to be cut if that is indeed the figure..

Superintendent Munoz is a regular guest on KROC AM.  His next scheduled appearance will be Thursday May 5 at 8:40 am.
