Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) - A teenager who was charged last year as a suspect in a triple stabbing in  Rochester appeared in court in Minneapolis Thursday for a hearing involving a murder case.

18 year old Ahmed Abdi was ordered back to court for an evidentiary hearing in October.

A second degree murder charge was brought against Abdi earlier this year and the case was initially filed in juvenile court. It was moved into Hennepin County adult court in July and bail for Abdi was set at $1.5 million. He remains in the Hennepin County jail.

He is accused of killing his 21 year old girlfriend, who was shot in the head April 11th at the home of Abdi’s aunt and uncle, where he had been living. Abdi is also accused of threatening a man with a gun the night before in Minneapolis.

Abdi is still facing charges in Olmsted County Court in connection with the stabbings that took place last May at a Rochester apartment complex located near the RCTC campus. That case is pending.
