Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) – An employee of a downtown Rochester bank discovered his laptop and truck keys were missing - after he chased a strange man out of the building.

Police were contacted around 2 p.m. Thursday by the maintenance man at the Associated Bank located along South Broadway.

The employee told police he found the man inside the boiler room and told him to leave.The employee later returned to his office and discovered his keys and laptop had been stolen.

Two hours later, he spotted the same man at the nearby University Square and confronted him about the missing items. Police arrived and found the man had the keys with him, along with the motherboard to the $1,500 laptop. It was later found hidden in the bank building’s boiler room.

Arrested was 18-year-old Justin Lee.
