Rochester Teenager Hurt After Being Hit by Vehicle

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester teenager was taken to St Marys Hospital Wednesday after being struck by a pickup truck.

Police say the 14-year-old was hit in the area of 23rd Ave and 4th St SW around 9:30 a.m. He complained of hip and back injuries. The teen’s mother told police she saw him walk into the roadway without looking for traffic. It’s unknown if the snowy weather played a role in the incident.

Slick roads kept city police officers busy through the day. A spokesman says there were 37 reported traffic mishaps, some involving collisions but no serious injuries.
