Cannon Falls, MN (KROC-AM News) - Two Rochester residents were killed in separate traffic crashes that occurred in Dakota County on Friday and Saturday.

The State Patrol says 78-year-old Brenda Travis was a passenger in a car driven by 81-year-old Glen Travis of Dodge Center that collided with a SUV driven by an Oronoco woman at a rural intersection along Highway 56 near Cannon Falls shortly before 10:30 Saturday night.

The State Patrol says the Oronoco woman, 55-year-old Lori Hoefs, went through a stop sign and broadsided with the victim’s car. The deadly collision also resulted in damage to two other vehicles traveling on Highway 56. Hoefs was not injured, but Glen Travis was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital with serious injuries.

The other fatality occurred Friday afternoon at the Highway 52 and Highway 50 interchange near Hampton, where two car crash took the life of 16-year-old Sahra Ahmed and seriously injured two other Rochester teenagers.
