Rochesterfest Parade Route
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The 2016 Rochesterfest Grand Parade takes place this evening and the weather forecast is favorable for the popular event.
The procession of over 100 units is scheduled to get underway at 6:15, starting on 6th street southwest near the intersection with 3rd avenue. It will head west to 7th street and then proceed south to 10th street, where the parade will turn east onto 11th street and then the northeast on George Gibbs Drive to the end point near the Soldiers Field Veterans Memorial.
Tens of thousands of people are expected to gather along the parade route, and some even began placing blankets and chairs at prime viewing spots several days ago.
