Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - It wasn’t your imagination, statistics from the National Weather Service confirm the month of March was dreary in the Rochester area.

The average temperature last month was only 31.2 degrees, which was almost 2.9 degrees below average. The warmest day of the month occurred on March 6th when the temperature rose to 63 degrees, which only proved to be a tease for those hoping for an early spring. Just over a week later, on March 5th, the mercury dropped to 1 degree for the coldest reading of the month.

The precipitation total for March was 2.87 inches, which was about an inch higher than normal. The amount that came down as snow totaled 8.4 inches, which was just slightly below normal.
