The Ronald McDonald House of Rochester, Minnesota, in partnership with McNeilus Companies, is requesting donations of aluminum cans and pop tabs for the Cans for Kids Collection Day on Saturday, May 30. All proceeds raised from this recycling event will directly support families with ill children, who call the Ronald McDonald House a home-away-from-home while seeking medical care in Rochester.

A McNeilus truck will be in the parking lot of the Ronald McDonald House, 850 2nd St. SW, accepting aluminum cans and pop tabs from 8 a.m. to noon.

Aluminum recycling has helped to support the Ronald McDonald House of Rochester for nearly 15 years. Cans for Kids partners with the Pop Tab Program to raise awareness and funds for the Ronald McDonald House. Cans for Kids collection events have raised over $13,000. In addition to supporting the House and its guests, all aluminum donations are recycled locally – diverting cans from Rochester landfills and contributing to a greener community.
