The Rochester Public Library Foundation’s annual fundraiser “Wit, Wisdom and Wine” is this Saturday, January 16th from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Rochester Public Library.

“This is our 15th ‘Wit, Wisdom and Wine’ event,” says Vicki Allen, Executive Director for the Foundation, “and we are confident it will be the wittiest.” Since premiering in 2000, the event has continued to be quite the occasion in downtown Rochester. “There’s something exciting about being in the library after hours, drinking wine and listening to educated, passionate people share their expertise.”

Topics range from “Fine Wines of Italy” and “Simulation in Medical Education” to discussions about craft brewing and disco. ”Again, it’s a wide variety of topics to meet the interests of our guests,” says Allen, “because this event is really for people from all walks and stages of life.” The silent auction and jewelry raffle will also return this year.
