Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -  Their services are no longer needed and they’re headed home.

Four Rochester Public Utilities line workers are expected back in town Thursday evening after spending the last week and a half in Florida.

RPU spokesman Tony Benson says the workers went to Kissimmee in two trucks and helped make repairs there and in the Lake Worth area. When they left for Florida, the workers were told they could be there for up to three weeks. Benson says the workers will be recognized during next Tuesday's RPU Board meeting.

Crews from 15 other municipal utilities in Minnesota also went to Florida to help in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma, including Austin.
