Hayfield, MN (KROC-AM News) - An investigator from the State Fire Marshal’s Office is looking for the cause of a fire that wiped out a rural Hayfield residence early Wednesday.

Dodge County Sheriff Scott Rose says multiple 911 calls came in around 2:30 a.m. reporting a house on fire and the home was completely engulfed in flames by the time deputies arrived at the scene. The Sheriff says the homeowners were away on vacation and no one was injured.

Firefighters from Hayfield and Kasson were at the scene for over three hours.
