She just made an oh-fficial announcement that might disappoint some fans.

My wife and my daughter are huge fans of the Divergent series. It's kind of a whole genre thing. It started with Kristen Stewart and the sparkly vampires in The Twilight Saga. Then it was Jennifer Lawrence in The Hunger Games. Oh, and then there's The Maze Runner.

They both were pretty excited about the Divergent series.

Unfortunately, the third movie in the series, Allegiant, didn't do very well at the box office. So, the next movie is going to be a television movie, and spin into a series.

Shailene Woodley was just asked if she would continue her role as Tris Prior. She said No. When the announcement was first made months ago that the series would move from the big screen to the small screen, co-star Miles Teller kind of hinted that he wouldn't be interested in being part of it, either.

Kinda makes me wonder if this whole Young Adult genre has passed its peak. Are you a fan of the Divergent series? Would you lose interest in it if the original cast didn't come back for the television movie/series?
