Significant Rochester Meth Dealer Gets Probation

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man is being given a chance to stay out of prison even though he was described by police as being heavily involved in methamphetamine sales in the Rochester area. 36-year-old Jeremiah Siewert was sentenced Monday to stayed prison terms of just over 9 ½ years and was placed on probation for 30-years.

He earlier entered into a plea agreement and admitted to a first-degree drug charge and a felony count for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. The drug charge stems from Siewert’s arrest last November after Rochester police caught him with 3 ounces of meth and $1,000 cash in his vehicle, while the weapons charge stemmed from a drug raid in February of last year that led to the seizure of over 200 grams of meth, $1700 cash and a gun.

Four other felony charges, including three first-degree charges, were dismissed through the plea deal.
