I absolutely love a good storm.  Is that weird?  Ever since I was really young - I've gotten this certain energy when a nice storm invades the area.  This morning, I woke up to this ominous beautiful sky and a energizing storm and thought to myself, "Self, this is going to be an awesome day!"

I jumped into my car, with a nice yellowish green sky and sounds of thunder bellowing in the background, it wasn't raining at this point around 6 a.m.  I barely pulled out of the driveway, when it started.  PING!  PANG!  Pelt after pelt after huge pelt.  I was nearing a bridge off the highway and I noticed several cars were pulled over under the bridge.  All I could think at that point was, "Oh No!  I am going to be driving a huge golfball from now on."

Ok, I love storms, as long as they dont hurt me, or my car. I thought about pulling over, taking refuge under the bridge, but, I didn't, like the smart folks that were obviously smarter than me.  According to the stormers site, areas near Kasson received an inch of hail this morning, and here I was, smack dab inside of this storm, and it continued its assult on me as I drove for at least fifteen minutes.  I am actually scared to comb over my car to see if it did get any damage!  Weatherology, from our weather eye weather center, were reporting hail in areas of Minnesota up to 2 inches in diameter.   I remember watching it hit my windshield and thinking, wow,  I haven't seen hail in a long time, let alone traveled in it.

What began as an awesome fun exciting little storm became, well... not that fun!  So I arrived at my destination and asked several people I ran into, "Did you get pelted at all?" Mostly, I heard, "No, I stayed until the hail passed, then I left."  Well, I guess I really should have parked under that bridge, eh? I think I'll have to look closer at my possible golf ball a little later, when I'm ready to deal with it!  At a glance, it appears to be ok.  It sure didn't seem that way by the ping pong ball pangs I listened to for what seemed like a century.  My only hope is that I don't find this:

Did anyone else experience the hail this morning?
