Spring Valley Man Arrested After Police Chase
Spring Valley, MN (KROC AM News) -Several law enforcement agencies were involved in the search and eventual arrest of an area man who led a Fillmore County deputy on a high speed chase Friday night.
Fillmore County Sheriff Tom Kaase says the deputy made a routine traffic stop in Spring Valley around 8 p.m. but as the officer approached the vehicle, the driver sped off. The driver ditched the vehicle west of Spring Valley and ran into some nearby woods.
A Rochester K9 officer was called in to assist in the search for the man and he was located around 9 p.m. The man has been identified as 43 year old Michael Drew Williams of Spring Valley.
