Stamp Prices Going Up

Mailing a letter is about to get a little more expensive.

On Tuesday regulators approved a temporary increase of 3 cents for a first class stamp.  The 49 cent stamp rate goes into effect on January 26th.  This will allow the U.S. Postal Service to recoup $2.8 billion in losses.  Forever stamps can be purchased at the lower rate until then.
