Minneapolis, MN (MNN) - Law enforcement officers say they are looking for a predatory offender who cut off his GPS tracking device and escaped from a Minneapolis halfway house.

The Minnesota Department of Corrections says 34-year-old Rico Ronondo Rodriguez has been on fugitive status since October 26th. He was released from prison on August 8th, and is no longer complying with the conditions of his release.

Rodriguez is a black man with black hair and brown eyes. He is five-feet, 11 inches tall and weighs about 227 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, torn blue jeans, a striped winter hat and dark shoes.

Minnesota DOC officials say Rodriguez has an “extensive” criminal history. In 2003, he was sentenced to prison for criminal sexual conduct against a girl. He was also sentenced to prison for failing to register as a predatory offender in 2012.

Anyone with information is asked to call 9-1-1.
