Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News) - Three members of the University of Minnesota volleyball team have been selected for weekly honors by the Big 10 Conference.

Hannah Tapp of Stewartville has been named the conference Co-Defensive Player of The week. The Gopher senior led her team to victories against Louisville and North Carolina by recording 14 blocks in the two matches last week. This marks the third time in her collegiate career she has won the award.

Sophomore Samantha Seliger-Swanson of Minnetonka is the Big 10 Setter of the Week. She averaged 12.6 assists per set and tallied 16 digs and 8 blocks while leaving the Gophers to a .382 hitting percentage. It’s the fourth time she has won the weekly honor.

The Big 10 Freshman of the Week Award went to Alexis Hart. The first year outside hitter from Missouri posted 30 kills for an average of 4.3 kills per set to earn her second straight Freshman of the Week award.
