Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) Maintenance workers at Rochester’s Century High School were busy Tuesday removing graffiti that was sprayed on the exterior of the building during the overnight hours.

School District spokeswoman Heather Nessler says it was a “ substantial amount “ and  staff is working directly with Rochester Police investigators in trying to track down those responsible. Reports indicate the graffiti was directed at the school’s principal.

Coincidentally, the School Board is holding its regular meeting at Century Tuesday evening and two of its agenda items deal with the school.

One is a decision on what to do with the school’s concession stand, which is in violation of a building code. Staff had recommended it be demolished and a new facility be constructed. But due to the high cost, staff is now recommending the bids be rejected so the project can be reassessed.

The other item is a recommendation to approve a co-op agreement with Schaeffer Academy in boys hockey, beginning with the 2015/2016 season.
