Rochester, MN (KROC AM News)  - A suspicious device was found at a downtown Rochester parking ramp Tuesday morning and the St Paul bomb squad was contacted to deal with the situation.

Police Captain John Sherwin says the possible pipe bomb was spotted around 7 a.m. by an employee at the 1st Street ramp which is located east of the Double Tree Hotel.

Sherwin says a portion of the ramp was evacuated as a precaution.

Sherwin says the device was removed around 10:15 a.m. and the bomb squad will deal with it and pass on its findings later today.
