Taylor Swift kicked off the 2015 BRIT Awards with a monochromatic, Michael Jackson-esque performance of "Blank Space"!

Donning a black blazer, black satin shorts and fishnets that flaunted her toned and tanned legs, T. Swift glided across the dance floor as she belted out easily one of our favorite tracks from 1989. Keeping with the '80s vibe, Taylor's performance totally reminded us of old school Michael Jackson, particularly as all of her male backup dancers rocked starch-white suits with black fedoras, using the hats as some seriously kickass props during the number.

As Taylor and her backup dancers worked the stage, we were totally digging the graphics on the screen behind them, which mimicked the singer's moves flawlessly. One of the coolest parts of the performance was when Taylor pushed one of the dancers back in slow motion -- just like it appeared on screen.

While there are times we miss T. Swift gracing the stage with those golden ringlets and her trusty acoustic guitar in hand, we love that 1989 is a totally new era of Taylor Swift, filled with sleek dance moves and unexpected surprises (who would've thought she'd go the Michael Jackson route?). While Taylor didn't exactly moonwalk across the stage, we think she still nailed the black-and-white number. In fact, the only pop of color were her ruby lips and fingernails, which totally answers that riddle. What's black and white and red all over? Taylor Swift.
