Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) - The Rochester City Council has moved into the high def world.

The council’s meetings are now being streamed in high definition format. The first offering was Monday night’s regular meeting.

The recorded version of the meetings will also be in high def through the city’s website.

The meetings will continue to be presented in standard definition on Charter Channel 180. Charter is expected to also offer the meetings on a high definition channel early next year.

City Clerk Aaron Reeves says the conversion cost about $125,000. That includes new cameras, monitors and a control board.
