I love the mini-libraries around Rochester. Seeing yards with these little boxes filled with stories and ideas makes me smile. Every time. And this weekend, I found the coolest one in Rochester.

Why are there so many mini-libraries around? It's thanks to the hard work of Leadership Greater Rochester's class of 2015. LGR is a fantastic program. Every year, the class learns about the ins and outs of the city and prepares them for an even higher level of civic involvement.

Plus, each class has a project. In the past, the projects have been everything from building an accessible playground to a building a kitchen at Channel One (So they can do cooking classes and stuff).

ROCKET LIBRARY 02

This program was created by the Leadership Greater Rochester Class of 2015, which participated in a comprehensive 10-month leadership development course led by the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce. Leadership Greater Rochester is proud to partner with the Rochester Public Library on this program. (According to the Rochester Mini Library website.)

I don't know a whole lot about the rocket library, but you can see a whole bunch more mini-libraries on their Facebook Page.
