The Med City Mafia Roller Derby Team was ruthless as they won their home opener against the River City Dames Of Anarchy last Saturday night at Graham Arena. The players are all as fierce as you can imagine, and that's part of what makes it so great as a spectator sport. Every single member of the team is coming in to win, to dominate, and to...be kind?

Yeah, be kind. Because as fierce as they are about winning, they're also fiercely dedicated to making a difference in our community. And that's one of the reasons I was at Saturday night's bout against the River City Dames Of Anarchy. They selected Donate Life and The Gift of Life Transplant House to receive donations that night, so Mary Wilder and I hung out, talked to people about organ donation, and handed out candy to VERY excited kids.
