When I found out Austin's Neveln Elementary was doing a Socktober sock drive, I knew had to get them on the air. The student council decided to do something most folks would never think of. Help keep feet warm this winter. So, a sock drive was kicked off, and in the end, they collected over 700 pair of socks!

Jeannie Goodew updated us during the month, and at some point, I told 'em I'd be happy to give 'em a sock hop to thank the school for a successful Socktober. They accepted the offer, and these pictures only show a TINY amount of the fun we had.

The students were so full of fun and vitality, the adults joined in and had a blast. And I danced so much my legs are still sore a day later!

We did a cheering contest...here's the 1st and 2nd graders cheering. They were so loud!

Thanks to everyone that donated to make Socktober so successful for Neveln Elementary. And THANK YOU to everyone at Neveln for making me feel so welome! I love the t-shirt and the thank you card!
