Undated  (KROC AM News)  - A student leaving summer school classes north of the Twin Cities Monday was killed after being hit by a vehicle.  

The Minnesota State Patrol says 18-year-old Catherine Loahr was walking across a road near the school in Forest Lake when she was hit around 1 p.m. The Forest Lake teenager was one of four Minnesotans to die in traffic-related incidents Monday.

The first was a St. Paul man who was killed after crashing his motorcycle during a brief police chase. The chase began in a residential neighborhood in St. Paul around 2 a.m. when an officer tried to stop the motorcyclist for a traffic violation. The 38-year-old man sped off and crashed a few minutes later.

Anotherr fatal incident happened around 6 p.m. near Motley in Cass County. The State Patrol says a Robbinsdale man was killed after rolling his car several times. The Patrol says 27-year-old Terrance Peterson died at the scene. The Patrol says he and a passenger who survived had alcohol in their systems.

A fourth traffic death was reported in Chisago County where a 55-year-old woman was killed when a vehicle crashed into a tree on Monday.
