Three Winning Tickets Sold For $564M Powerball Jackpot
Three tickets sold for the Wednesday night Powerball drawing matched all the numbers to share the huge jackpot which soared from $450 million after last Saturday's drawing to $564.1 million before sales were cut off.
Wednesday's jackpot was the third-largest in Powerball history and the fifth-largest U.S. lottery prize.
The estimated Grand Prize was $564,100,000 ($381,138,450.16 cash).
There were three Grand Prize winning tickets:one in North Carolina, one in Puerto Rico and one in Texas.
The ticket sold in Puerto Rico ticket was the first Powerball jackpot winner ever sold outside the continental United States.
Puerto Rico joined Powerball less than a year ago.
There were no second place tickets sold in Minnesota but seven tickets won 3rd place prizes worth $10,000 each.There were just over 100,000 winning tickets sold in Minnesota.
