Timmay 5K Fun Run/Walk Is Saturday

April is Donate Life Month and among the events taking place this month is the Timmay 5K Fun Run/Walk this Saturday.

Tim Rasmusson, nickname Timmay, passed away suddenly a year ago (April 9, 2014) at the age of 26 due to an ascending aorticaneursym. Timmay was a true sportsman, enjoying hunting, traditional archery, and fishing. He also had a love for music, taught himself to play an acoustic guitar, and loved to go to concerts. Through his passing, Tim helped countless people by donating his organs including two people that received the gift of sight. 

The goal of the Tim Rasmusson foundation is to emphasize the importance of spending quality time with friends and family. The first event is the Timmay 5K organized by Tim's cousin Karissa Wright. It's this Saturday, April 11th at East Silver Lake with check-in and on-site registration between 7:30-8:30am, race time at 9am.  Fee is $25.
