Over the holidays, and throughout the winter, really, our family likes to spend time playing board games. This holiday, Jenga and Guesstures were both under the Christmas tree. My kids love to play a rousing game of Monopoly. And I even picked up a really cool vintage game called Score Four at a local thrift store recently that we've already played a few times.

Ranker.com has created a list of the best board games of all time. One cool thing about the list is that it is based on ranking done by anybody and everybody. Another great thing about the list is that it can be separated by country and even by region.

I thought I'd check out the top board games here in the Midwest. This is what came up:

10. Ticket to Ride
9. Sorry!
8. Scrabble
7. Stratego
6. Apples to Apples
5. Settlers of Catan
4. Chess
3. Cluedo
2. Risk
1. Monopoly

There's only two on this list that I've never played. And I've played four of the games on this list within the last six months.

What do you think of the list? What's your favorite board game?
