Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man has been sentenced to just over two years in prison for his conviction on criminal vehicular operation and felony drug charges.

29-year-old Lucas Ernst earlier pleaded guilty to the charges, which stemmed from a traffic crash that occurred in April. The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Department says Lucas was driving on Marion Road southeast near Burr Oak School when his vehicle crossed the centerline and crashed into another car, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries.

A search of Ernst’s car turned up evidence of methamphetamine and the charges alleged he was under the influence of the drug when the crash occurred.
