Traffic Crash Triggers Power Outage
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -Repair crews from Rochester Public Utilities were dispatched today after a vehicle crashed into a power pole in northwest Rochester and caused a significant power outage.
A spokesman says around 1,235 homes and businesses were affected by the outage, which was reported around 11 AM. The majority of the affected RPU customers were on either side of Highway 52 between 41st and 65th streets, including some of the large shopping centers in that area.
It took a couple hours to fix the problem.
