Trooper Involved in Multi-Vehicle Crash

Five people, including a State Trooper, were transported to Saint Mary’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuriesfollowing a multi-vehicle crash early today along Highway 52 at Oronoco.

The State Patrol report on the crash indicates 30-year-old Trooper Phillip Bogojevic of Rochester had stopped his cruiser in front of another car along the shoulder of the highway when a third car, driven by a 19-year-old Pine Island man, crashed into them and collided with a fourth vehicle.  The surface of the highway was described as icy when the incident occurred around 12:20 a.m.  At last report, most of southeastern Minnesota was experiencing fair driving conditions with scattered slippery spots, but the conditions were still rated as difficult in Houston, along with portions of Fillmore and Winona Counties.
