US Rep. Steve Scalise and Possibly Seven Others Shot During Virginia Ball Game

Rep. Steve Scalise was shot Wednesday morning during a practice for a congressional baseball practice at a field in Alexandria, Va.

According to CNN, it was a deliberate attack that came from behind the third base dugout. The Hill says the Louisiana politician is in stable condition after being shot in the hip. His injuries don't appear to be life threatening.

Witnesses say two Capitol Hill police officers and up to five more people were also shot.

According to Raw Story, US Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) said he may have spoken to the shooter before he left the field. He think it may be him because the guy asked Rep. DeSantis if it was Democrats or Republicans on the field.

They have a suspect in custody, tho there had been report the shooter had been shot and killed.
