You are driving down the road and all of a sudden...beautifully painted vintage furniture, chairs are all over the sidewalk next to you.  That is what we call "An Occasional Market" in Rochester and I know where you can find the next one!

I watch a lot of Fixer Upper and other home improvement shows.  You know the ones...where your old looking house is transformed into a Farmhouse style beauty in 1 hour.  I love to watch these shows and dream of my 70's ranch turning into a Modern Farmhouse.   I love it so much that we've even started projects to help get us there.  What I find the hardest though is the accessorizing.

Give me tile, flooring, paint colors...I'll make something happen.  That is just a shell though for the rest of the magic and I just fizzle out at that point.  That is why I love visiting antique stores, flea markets and Rochester's very own, "An Occasional Market"!

So, what can you expect if you come visit? I asked the market people myself and they described it perfectly:

An occasional market is made up of creative souls who create and find beautiful things for your home. Our shows feature vintage items, antique, repurposed and newly created home decor and furniture. Our pop up markets are held throughout Rochester. We love our customers, where its the person who finds the perfect piece at a show or asks us to do custom work or sends us on the hunt to search for the perfect piece for their home. We love that we are helping to create a home.

There are two popups coming up that you will want to visit!

  1. Baby It's Cold Outside Pop-Up.  Saturday, February 24th from 10am until 2pm on the corner of Broadway N. and Civic Center (in the old Nelson Cheese store).
  2. Hello Spring Sale.  Saturday, March 10th from 10am until 12pm on the corner of Broadway N. and Civic Center (in the former Jive Mill space)

How can you find out more?  See pictures of what will be there?  Their Facebook page is very informative and up to date...and will probably make you want to watch a little HGTV.  ;)

Future dates were also announced for the rest of 2018; June 2nd, July 14th, August 25th, September 29th and November 10th.  Send me a message on my Facebook page if you want the location info as it gets closer.

P.S.  If you see me there in my yoga pants, sweatshirt and mom bun (you know...my mom clothes)...let's take a selfie!  I'll probably have a coffee in my hand but we will make it work.  ;)
