Sometimes, when the traffic is backed up at Broadway and 2nd Street North, I look around...and up (at the tops of buildings). For a while now I've noticed a sign in an apartment window right next door to The Castle (used to be the Senior Citizen Center). You can see the sign in the picture above. It looks like one of those speech bubbles in cartoons. But what does it say?

Finally, one lovely day, traffic was backed up long enough I got a picture. HAHA! The mystery was going to be solved and I could move on to another Rochester mystery. Turns out...not so much.

"Is there a terrible ache to life?"

What? I don't get it! Getting a close-up didn't help at all. Now I'm more confused than ever. Is it a quote? Is it a religious thing? If you know, please send me an email here.
