In other words, what's your all-time favorite movie?

I love comedies. I'm a Mel Brooks' fans. I'm very careful to say I'm a "super fan" or an "all-time fan", or a "number-one fan", because usually there's always somebody that makes the news as a more devoted and hard-core fan. I could sit down and watch any Mel Brooks movie, over and over. I think my top two favorites are Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein. It's the same with the Airplane movies and the Naked Gun movies from the '80's.

I have a handful of other movies I could re-watch. That '60's Batman movie with Adam West. There's that scene where he's running around with that bomb. On bad days, I just throw my hands up and say, "Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb!"

Any Clint Eastwood movie. He started out making Westerns, but then made a bunch of those Dirty Harry movies.

Do you have a list like this?

Ranker.com put together a list of the most re-watchable movies of all time. You can vote on the movies on the list, so the movies on there might change where they show up, since it's an active poll. Here's the Top 5 so far:

5. The Princess Bride

4. Jurassic Park

3. Star Wars: A New Hope

2. Back to the Future

1. Forrest Gump

I'm not sure about Gump being number one. It's a great movie and all, but I'd probably re-watch Big more. I think I'd swap it with The Princess Bride. It is a pretty solid Top 5 that would be hard to knock. Well, except for Blazing Saddles not being in there. I'd probably drop Gump and put Blazing Saddles and The Princess Bride first and second. Star Wars would be third, followed by Back to the Future and Jurassic Park. That's how I would modify Ranker's list. But, then I'd have to find a place for Mayor West, and maybe a slot for Pale Rider or Unforgiven. Then maybe a slot for Galaxy Quest. Then there's McLintock!...but it's a Top 5 list...

What would your Top 5 look like?
