You may have noticed that gasoline prices in Rochester have gone up for a change. Some stations are now selling regular for $1.96 a gallon, up a dime from Monday. Minnesotagasprices.com is reporting the current statewide average for regular is $1.97.

Prices began a steady decline in Minnesota in late October when regular was selling for more than $3 a gallon.Rochester’s prices fell under $1.90 a gallon last week.

It’s not known if the sudden increase is temporary. There were increases in crude oil and wholesale gasoline prices last week but the prices were falling again Monday.
