Winona County Teenager Killed in Utility Vehicle Crash
Utica, MN (KROC-AM News) - A 13-year-old boy was the victim of UTV crash in Winona County Wednesday night. The Winona County Sheriff’s Department reported the teenager was driving the four-wheel utility vehicle on a rural road several miles south of Utica when he lost control and the machine flipped over into the ditch. It came to rest on its top, with the victim pinned under it. His name has not been released.
Officials say an 11-year-old passenger in the UTV suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to St. Marys Hospital for treatment. It’s not known if either boy was using a seatbelt.
The deadly incident was reported around 6:45 p.m.
