Melissa Ann Law, 35 from Jordan (35 miles southwest of Minneapolis), is facing two counts of assault on a peace officer, along with fleeing from the officer. 

The story, published by southernminnesotannews.com, says an officer was called to a grocery store in Blooming Prairie to handle a domestic dispute. As the officer was questioning the man, the woman took off running. The officer quickly caught her, and when he did, she threw her Dairy Queen Blizzard. The Blizzard struck the officer’s face and upper body.

The officer was covered in ice cream but was still able to grab the woman. She continued to fight until an off-duty officer, who happened to be in the area, joined the melee and helped the pursuing officer detain her.
