Happy Birthday to the world's oldest person. Jeralean Talley turns 116 years old today. Jeralean was born May 23, 1899 and is one of only three people in the world born in the 1800s and still alive today. Statistics show that only one in five million live to be 110 years or older.

Jeralean, who likes pop and junk food, credits her faith for her longevity and says it's all in the good Lord's hands. She's a big believer in the golden rule of treating people the way you want to be treated. Jeralean has stayed active most of her life. She bowled regularly until she was 104 and still mowed her own lawn until a few years ago. One thing she still likes to do is go on her family's annual fishing trip.

In case you're wondering, the oldest person on record was Jeanne Calment who lived to the age of 122 years, 164 days (she died in 1997). For Jeralean to break the all-time age record, she'd have to live another 6 years, 165 days. After listening to her philosophy on life, I wouldn't bet against her.
