10 Things Only People Over 35 Will Remember About ‘The Web’
This morning I was reminded by a parent that it is impossible to keep up with "what the kids are saying today." It changes so fast, and the minute YOU say it, it's uncool (which is handy if you want to get them to stop saying it?).
When it comes to the World Wide Web (does anyone say that anymore?), the changes came fast and furious. Maybe that's why we've forgotten so much, or why it looks so much like a slice out of the stone-age.
Those super heavy and not really very big monitors, the modem singing the song of your people, and call waiting interrupting your computer time. How many fights did NOT answering the call waiting start between sweetie-pies? (And the wait time if they sent you a real picture instead of a quick chat?)
And that was just the beginning of the distractions and fun..so please, sit back and enjoy a little trip down memory lane.
