Olmsted County Traffic Victim Identified
Byron, MN (KROC AM News) - The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the man who was killed in a traffic wreck near Byron Saturday night.
Captain Scott Behrns says 60-year-old Daniel Pyfferoen of rural Byron was driving on Valleyhigh Road near the Somerby golf course around 11 p.m. when an oncoming car crossed the centerline and the two vehicles collided head-on. Pyfferoen died at the scene. The other driver was 19-year-old Jordan Wilde of Byron.
Behrns says there is no indication alcohol was involved but Wilde did admit smoking marijuana before the wreck.
The wreck remains under investigation.
