Iowa 13-Year-Old Nash Roe Competes On Food Network!
According to the Food Network, Roe and 11 other kids are competing on the 11th season of the Kids' Baking Championships
According to the Food Network, Nash, "...is a kid baker from Iowa. His baking business is called Nash’s Confections." A quick check of the business's website tells us a lot more...
The Nash Roe's Story
The kid's business started out of necessity.
"Nash’s Confections is a Des Moines, IA based bakery specializing in our CINNA-ROE™ and other homemade baked goods inspired by family recipes which use the highest quality ingredients to create the best product.
Over Mother’s Day weekend in 2020, my sister fell of a hammock and got a concussion. It ended up with my mom and sister in the hospital all night, while I slept in the car, and Nash being 11 years old… thats how Nash’s Confections came about. It started with making cookies & muffins and selling them to family and friends for very low prices." (Source)
In the first episode, Nash stayed in the contest by cooking his famous CINNA-ROE™ (great name, Nash Roe).
The winner of the Kids' Baking Championship gets the $25,000 Grand Prize. See the show Mondays at 8, and 7 central on the Food Network. I can't actually show you any episodes here because they don't make them available to share, but you can watch season 11 on youtube right here. It'll cost you per episode.
