Several Rochester Wrecks Reported

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Slick roads apparently caused by dreaded black ice contributed to some traffic accidents and mishaps in the Rochester area Friday morning.

One accident happened at the Highway 52/12th St intersection near Apache Mall around 7:45 AM. A short while later, a woman lost control of her car and ended up on the ice covering Silver Lake. About the same time, there was a wreck on 3rd Ave SE near the Government Center. Around 11:00 AM, a driver lost control of an SUV and ended up crashing into the southwest corner of the Mayo Civic Center.

No serious injuries were reported.
