Fort Myers, FL (KROC-AM News) - The Lee County Grand Jury has returned a first-degree murder indictment against Lois Riess. According to a report filed by WINK-TV in Fort Myers Florida, the Florida State Attorney today announced the indictment charging the 56-year-old Blooming Prairie woman with first-degree murder, grand theft of a motor vehicle, grand theft and criminal use of personal identification information of a deceased individual.

The charges stem from the murder of 59-year-old Pamela Hutchinson at her rented condominium in Fort Myers Beach in early April. Riess is also accused of stealing Hutchinson’s car and using her identity and credit cards to travel to the South Padre Islands in Texas where she was apprehended on April 19th.

Riess is also suspected of shooting and killing her husband at the couple’s home near Blooming Prairie but has yet be charged by authorities in Dodge County. The body of David Riess was found by Dodge County Deputies on March 23rd. Officials in Dodge County have said they plan to wait for the case against Lois Riess to move forward in Florida before pursuing the case against her in Minnesota.

She is due to be arraigned in Florida next Monday on the new charges contained in the indictment.
