Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - It was a frosty Saturday morning across southeast Minnesota.

Temperatures slipped below freezing before sunset and stayed for a few hours, long enough to produce frost in many areas.

 

Numerous cities reported lows in the 20s.

The National Weather Service reports lows of 25 in Dodge Center and Red Wing while Faribault, Owatonna, Preston and Rochester fell to 27 degrees. 

An NWS cooperative observer in the Preston area reported a low of 19 degrees.

More frost is in the forecast for Monday and Tuesday mornings and temperatures are expected to remain below average through the middle of next week.

There will also be a chance of light snow across the region Sunday morning.
