Eight-year-old Myles Eckert lives in Toledo, Ohio.  Last month Myles was excited to find 20 bucks in the parking lot of a Cracker Barrel restaurant.  At first he planned to buy a video game with it, but then he walked into the restaurant and saw a soldier named Frank Dailey having lunch by himself.  Myles' dad was also a soldier, but sadly he died in Iraq when Myles was only five weeks old.  So he never knew him, but thinks about him every time he sees a guy in uniform.

Instead of buying the video game, Myles decided to give the $20 to Frank.  But first he wrapped it in a handwritten note.  It said, quote "My dad was a soldier.  He's in heaven now.  I found this 20 dollars in the parking lot when we got here.  We like to pay it forward in my family.  It's your lucky day!  Thank you for your service."

Frank said he was blown away by the gesture, and he looks at the note every day for inspiration.  He also said he gave the $20 to charity, and he encourages others to give too.

What makes this story a real tearjerker is that Myles then asked his mom to take him to his dad's grave after lunch, so he could tell him about it.
