Thank you cards. A lot of people don't send 'em anymore. Myself included. I always mean to, but, I let it slide. This card, tho...this one reminds me I need to send thank you notes every single time I'm thankful, because this touched my heart. Back in May we did a thing...

Cathy Neumann’s Bamber Valley 5th grade class was so excited, and when she said this is their award, too, it touched me deeply. But now, a classroom thank you card came in the mail and I am a little weepy saying, "This is so exactly what I needed today."

Some days are hard, and in the middle of that day, a ray of sunshine fills the space, and changes your perspective. Cathy and her class? They're the sunshine.
