Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Rochester Public Works Dept. says work on a downtown renovation project will lead to the partial closing of a street in the Peace Plaza area.

The closure will affect the southbound lane of 1st Ave SW between 1st St and West Center St., beginning this Wednesday. The closure is necessary due to the ongoing work at the Wells Fargo building and is expected to remain in effect through Aug. 2nd.

The department says the street will reopen during Thursday Downtown activities. Access to the Marriott Hotel will be maintained off of 2nd Street SW.
