Is Coronavirus killing Robocalls? According to YouMail, in April, Minnesota received 25,716,900 robocalls. One year ago, it was 43,569,400. That's a pretty substantial drop, and it's being seen all over the country.

There was a 30% decline in Robocalls between March and April, 2020. And March was down 44% from February (source)YouMail,a service for blocking robocalls, said,

"April's massive decline in robocalls shows that COVID-19 is accomplishing what government, technology, and regulation couldn't...However, as social distancing slows down and the economies rev back up, we should expect robocalls to once again increase."

The actual numbers make me believe it is still a problem. Percents are great, but check this out, "The month of April averaged over 95 million calls per day, or roughly 1,104 calls per second..."

Minnesota got over 25 million robocalls last month, but has less than 6 Million people. No wonder we're always scowling at our phone.
